Welcome to Property Lines, Indy's source for neighborhood real estate news. Your host is Scott Olson, IBJ's real estate beat
reporter. Edited by Cory Schouten.
You may be aware of this site aleady. There is a lively discussion thread about Indy development on there. Just a bunch
of enthusiasts sharing news and opinions on real estate development.

Any news on what's going on at the 400 block of North Penn? There are banners up in a couple of spots downtown, but I haven't
seen anything in either the IBJ or Star about approval, likeklihood, etc. Thanks.
Any word on the Fresh Market development at 54th and college? Still waiting and it appears to be an empty parking lot; so
much for coming in fall 2007. Have you heard anything?
What is going on up on 96th street and Keystone. 4 Restaurants have closed since last year. Nothing but Noodles got bought
out. Bahama Breeze closed because of Darden Companies had trouble with Smokey Bones. Camille's closed last year and now DOOKZ
Grill is gone. What will replace all these places?
Crystal – The E. 96th Street location has been listed for sale through a local broker.
Thanks for your comment … we wish we could have made this location work, but unfortunately it just wasn’t the right
type of location for the Bahama Breeze brand and the restaurant there was never going to reach the level of profitability
we require. As we grow Bahama Breeze over the next several years, though, it’s entirely possible we will be back in the
Indianapolis market, in a site that makes more sense for us.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a happy holiday season!
Any news about the Uptown development at 49th and College? I hear that Carreau Design was planning something, but haven't
heard any news for almost a year.
Cory, I wonder if the LUCASVILLE name will stick. Are you aware of the 701 Kentucky Avenue offering? Anyway, 4 acres in
one parcel is rare in Lucasville. The skyline around the new stadium is changing and this site will be part of the change.
With it's river view and view of the downtown skyline the 701 Kentucky Avenue location has many possibilities. It will be
interesting to watch how this site is redeveloped.
Anyone have a suggestion for a location in the Carmel/North Indy area that lets you rent it and bring in your own catering?
I would even consider renting an entire restaurant. I would prefer the tables and linens etc. already be there. 120 people.
Ever heard of renting a leasing property (like the old Bahama Breeze)for something like this?
Cory, I was wondering if you had an opinion on the VWC/Brenwick/Pulte debacle. It's been reported in the star and WTHR. I
was in the area this weekend and asked a few of the unhappy residents about the situation. They directed me to a website
Cory, I recently moved to Indy from Des Moines, IA and have enjoyed reading this blog/newsletter to see what is doing on in
town. I was wondering if you do any type of follow-up work on your articles? For example, a couple of the restaurants and
stores that are supposed to be coming to town have not yet and it has been months since your article was published.
Hearing a rumor from a VERY reliable source, that The Indianapolis Star is close to announcing plans to move into Artistry.
They're just waiting on a few minor details to be ironed out.

It would be interesting to tag some of your posts and have the content show up on this site.
Keep updating us on Indy development news. I would also like to know what is replacing Bahama Breeze...if anything. I miss that place!
