Indianapolis is now the most affordable large market in which to buy a house 10 quarters running.
Thatâ??s according to an index the National Association of Home Builders and Wells Fargo put out this afternoon. In the past quarter, 46.6 percent of new and existing houses sold were affordable to people earning the national median income of $59,000.
Affordability is generally a good thing, but is it a sign of health?
Does this top rank tell us that weâ??re better at sprawling onto cheap farmland than other large cities? Maybe it speaks to lack of demand? What do you think?
