  1. We've known for quite some time that this was the plan... too bad they weren't able to bring in another retail use.

  2. Scott Faultless was Town Council president for 12 years, stepping down only when it became clear that the reorganization to City status was going to shift power from the President to the Mayor. Looks to me like he's positioning himself for a run. My one question though, is he a Republican? I don't recall the council elections being partisan. I hate to stereotype, but he's a personal injury attorney and they are overwhelmingly Democrats. But if he runs as a Republican, I'd think he's the overwhelming favorite.

  3. This is the perfect use for this space. As soon as Borders vacated the space, the first thing that came to my mind was a formal/official lobby for B&T. They will do this right...and I guarantee the renovation will look very nice from the sidewalk (unlike the Mainsource monstrosity next door).

  4. Great use of high-profile property. /sarcasm

  5. What I find so appalling is while these hospitals are cutting jobs they are expanding all over the state of Indiana with multi-million dollar branches. They can justify these expenses and the huge salary packages to their CEO's and President's but just can manage to pay a cleaning person $18,000. I know because my job of 30 years was cut from Community Health Network back in 2010. Fortunately for me I was able to get my traditional pension and SS so I'm not too bad off. And Community had 9 CEO's running around in there pulling down millions in salaries. They claim to be losing money but get loans to expand. They will be on every corner if they don't watch out just like the banks and some department stores. They compete with themselves and drain the business. I heard that St. Vincent just laid off many employees the other day and had armed guards to escort them out. Nasty!!!!
