Local company acquires monster truck series

The Promotion Co Inc., an Indianapolis-based event promoter, said today that it has acquired the Monster Nationals series of monster-truck shows from Image Promotions Inc. in Chardon, Ohio.

Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Promotion Co. officials could not be immediately reached for comment.

Image Promotions had produced The Monster Nationals Series since 1993 but chose to sell it following the death of company owner George Eisenhart Jr. in January. Eisenhart, who typically served as the announcer for the events, was struck by a truck at a show in Wisconsin.

“I feel that the series that George worked so passionately to make successful should be carried on by people with years of experience, a great reputation, and a commitment to providing families with the same kind of outstanding entertainment our company did,” George’s wife, Donna Eisenhart, said in a prepared statement.

C. Bruce Hubley founded The Promotion Co. in 1977. It since has produced more than 1,000 motorsports and other entertainment-related events. The company is known for its Family Events Performance Series, which includes several automotive events.

The Family Events series will offer 15 Monster Nationals events beginning late this year in markets across the Midwest.
