Indianapolis police are investigating a report of a toddler with a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit for adults. Methodist Hospital staff reported that a 23-month-old toddler brought to the hospital by ambulance had a blood alcohol level of 0.267. The child's mother, Shaila Ervin, of the 700 block of Linwood Avenue, was arrested and charged with neglect of a dependant.
