It was among several firms honored at TechPoint’s 11th annual Mira Awards ceremony May 9 at the JW Marriott.
Slingshot, a search engine optimization firm, plans to add at least 100 jobs by 2013 to its current work force of about 50. Earlier this month, the state pledged up to $1.15 million in performance-based tax credits toward Slingshot’s expansion.
Among other Mira categories, BidPal Network won as top IT gazelle for its success in automated technology for charitable fundraising.
AMD Lasers, which makes lasers used for dentistry, took top honors in the life sciences category. And Xylogenics won the clean technology category for a yeast it developed to make ethanol from ordinary plants.
