United Technologies subsidiary Sullair Corp. announced Tuesday it would spend up to $12.7 million on new equipment and energy efficiency upgrades at its 410,000- square-foot facility in Michigan City.
Sullair president Henry Brooks says the company expects to see increasing demand as the economy rebounds around the world.
The company has manufacturing facilities in China, Australia and the United States, making equipment for the mining, construction, industrial, manufacturing and energy industries.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Sullair Corporation up to $800,000 in performance-based tax credits and $75,000 in training grants based on the company's job-creation plans. Michigan City is providing enterprise zone investment deductions through the Urban Enterprise Association and developing training programs.
