DavisMichael Davis, vice president at BMO Harris Bank, has been moonlighting for two decades as assistant artistic director at the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir.
On Sept. 16, he will lead the choir in “Mood Indigo,” one of its first forays into popular music. The season kickoff at Indiana Landmarks Center will feature cabaret-style songs and soloist Ly Wilder.
It’s also a debut of sorts for Davis, who helped guide the artistic vision for “Mood Indigo” and will lead an entire performance for the first time.
Despite his day job, Davis is not a musical hobbyist. He has a master’s degree in music performance and a doctoral degree in choral conducting and higher education administration. He also plays in a bluegrass band.
