The retail division of Indianapolis-based Lids Sports Group has reached an agreement to buy 12 stores from Florida-based Fanatics Inc.
Lids said Wednesday that the purchase includes nine FansEdge locations in the Chicago area and one in Oklahoma, in addition to two Football Fanatics stores in Jacksonville, Fla.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The stores will be rebranded under the Locker Room by Lids banner to include region-specific storefronts such as Chicago Locker Room and Oklahoma Locker Room, Lids said.
Lids is a division of Indianapolis-based Hat World Inc., which is owned by Nashville, Tenn.-based Genesco Inc.
