House demolitions continue in Richmond Hill

December 21, 2012

Officials say 16 houses have been torn down in the south-side Indianapolis neighborhood devastated by the Nov. 10 explosion that also killed a couple. Fifteen more Richmond Hill houses face demolition orders after a city hearing officer on Thursday rejected an insurance company's appeal seeking to salvage one of the structures. No criminal charges have been filed. Officials estimate the damage at more than $4 million.
