A 7-year-old boy was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident Wednesday night on the southeast side of Indianapolis. Family members said they were preparing to cross East Troy Avenue at South Walcott Street just before 9:30 p.m. when the boy stepped into the road and was struck by a dark red older-model Oldsmobile Delta 88. The vehicle continued east on Troy. The boy was still in critical condition Thursday morning at Riley Hospital for Children.
