Someone apparently forgot to tell Pablo Pereira, the weatherman at Fox affiliate KTTV-TV Channel 11 in Los Angeles, that he’d been promoted to president and general manager of WTHR-TV Channel 13 in Indianapolis.

Pereira’s smiling mug shot accompanied a graphic dubbed “new general manager Larry Delia” on WTHR’s 6 p.m. newscast on June 7.

Oops.

A photo of the real Delia appeared on the 11 p.m. newscast.

“Epic Naptown Fail” was the headline in NewsBlues, a daily report on the television industry and its antics. At least, said the website, “they do sort of resemble each other.”

Delia comes from Indianapolis Fox affiliate WXIN-TV Channel 59, where he’s headed the station for the last two years. At WTHR, he replaces John Cardenas, who was promoted to vice president of news at WTHR parent Dispatch Broadcast Group, in Columbus, Ohio.

Cardenas will also be general manager of Dispatch’s WBNS-TV in Columbus.

As for Pereira, he remains at KTTV-TV.•
