In Indiana, a statute gives prosecutors a veto power over sentence modifications starting one year after sentencing, so the prosecutor's power trumps the judge's. To my knowledge, Brizzi only consented to the modification of two sentences during his entire career, and both of them gave him a bunch of money. But,of course, I am sure that is just coincidence. I am sure that only two people deserved mercy. So, corruption? Nah. Not a chance.
The only complaint I have about this project is that it is not dense enough. I wish this project contained more apartments and more canal fronting retail. The same people complaining about this development are also the very same people that complain that their property taxes are too high.
We were just hearing not long ago that hospitals will do better under a system that requires everyone to have health insurance. Why is St Vincent blaming Obamacare here? In another article they cite increased competition. Even the IU CEO admitted in the above article that the industry has been 'inefficient'.
As previously stated, why in the world would we need a Whole Foods? I'm a Broad Ripple resident and not against this development completely, but perhaps a Trader Joe's would be a better addition. More affordable than Whole Foods, and overall it feels more "Broad Ripple."
