For me, the weekend included Actors Theatre of Indiana's fine and very funny production of Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple" (which still has another weekend left in its run at the Center for the Performing Arts' Studio Theatre). More on that later.

I also finally got to the Indiana Repertory Theatre's "An Iliad" (my review can be found here.) And, after leading a pre-show discussion at Clowes Hall about actor John LIthgow, caught his "Stories by Heart" show.

How do I choose what to go to? My column on that very subject can be found here

Did you get to any of the above? Or did you find yourself at the contemporary art exhibition at the Eiteljorg? Acting Up's "At Home at the Zoo" at TOTS? Participate in VonnegutFest or the LGBT Film Festival? See Amos Lee or Jeff Dunham?

What did you hear, see or do on the A&E front this weekend?

  • Saw Last Vegas
My girlfriend and I wanted to see "12 years a slave", but her mother wanted to see something lighter, so we saw "Last Vegas". It is what you would expect, but is funny and an overall feel good movie. It's short enough that you don't get bored and tired of the "cheesiness". I can't wait to see 12 Years, though.
  • I loved the Odd Coup;e at ATI
As always the Studio Theatre allows ATI to connect with the audience as no other venue in town can do as well. This is especially true with the Odd Couple. They have combined a talented cast with a classic comedy. It is well worth seeing.
  • Odd Couple
This was excellent! All the cast was top notch! A must see!
