  1. Wait another second. The restaurants and bars outside the Fieldhouse, not to mention parking lots were packed for recent Pacers games. The Conrad gets a nice haul from putting up the visiting team and its rather large entourage for three nights. That's called economic impact ... and that's why they play the game!

  2. I've been out of Indiana since I become a wine fan, but I do remember good ol' Oliver. Eager to find some more great Indiana wines.

  3. I don't have a problem with the amount if tied to performance. The problem is that he won't be able to replicate the performance of the past 5-10 years. Not because he is a bad executive, but because the company already had an amazing growth, and it has a favorable valuation (in my opinion). It's all about the future performance, and if he is not able to outperform the competition in the next 5-10 years (and I don't think he will) then why pay him more than his peers. If I was an investor, I would not care for the Company's statement about his past performance. You paid him for his past performance. Unless his name is Warren Buffet, I don't care about his or anyone else's past performance.

  4. Two potential governors pick two women as lit. governor...basically to grab the women voters. However, why doesn't a woman try to run for governor? Indiana needs to expand their outlook, not the career politicians and business men/women. I guarantee if I ran for an office I flip things upside down. All politicians have all the same points..jobs jobs jobs. I have job creation right here...how about 1) demo all those abandoned houses everywhere, 2) new construction for all those parking lots, 3) instead of doing "studies" and assessments all the time actually follow through with those results. Regardless of the new Governor, both seem to me as another 4 years wasted, and it'll continue to be a waste until people come to their senses.

  5. The value of having transit is the option to utilize. Owning a car, particularly when you have a family is typically required in most places. The ability to take transit to/from work is a tremendous option to have in terms of saving money in transportation costs and also providing a better use of time instead of being "behind the wheel".
