  1. It will be really nice having another parking garage across the street from the two already on Illinois's east side. And there is another huge one just north of Michigan. If we fill in the surface lot north of Vermont and tear down that ridiculously old fashioned Rink Building we can achieve something few other municipalities can boast of: a 3 full city block canyon of parking garages.

Plus, if there is a building downtown that merits imitation it is the One America tower. I propose it be the standard for all future design. And I propose we change our city name to Dystopolis.

  2. What is it on it's way back from? Pick one, let's discuss:

    - All oval series = FAILURE
    - Control AOW, Kill Sport = SUCCESS
    - Quality Field versus Quantity Field = FAILURE
    - Driver Death/Poor Chassis Design = FAILURE
    - More American/Less Foreign Drivers = FAILURE
    - More Street Courses/Less Ovals = SUCCESS
    - Merger/Asset Aquire with CCWS = SUCCESS
    - Penske wins all the time = SUCCESS
    - LOTUS barely is 3rd Manufacturer = FAILURE
    - Less Major Network TV/More Obscure TV = SUCCESS
    - Traditions Sacrificed for Survival = SUCCESS

These are just a few topics....how is Indy on it's way back up?

  3. Chicken in a Biscuit

  4. WHo cares if it dies...and why does there have to be some kind of 'Carnac the Magnificent' prediction that it might? So you bootlickers can get your jolly's when it stays alive?

How dumb is THAT? You Indy lovers constantly ignore the condition the sport is in and remain content to let the idiots who got it in this condition STILL continue to run it into the ground. Even Disciple his own self knows the true condition of the sport and incessantly whines about it in his pitiful blog.

When faced with facts you divert and dodge and NEVER hold the leadership responsible. How will change ever occur if someone won't get out of line and voice an opinion? The same way change occurs for forever in Indycar, something has to die, I suspect.

You keep requesting the status quo and you will always have to accept less, for what? Nothing other than loyalty to the Speedway, I guess. That is the most ignorant position you and Iman have chosen....Rome burns as this new speedway management fumbles away everything. 5 years into the unification of the sport and it is floundering, BADLY.

  5. Carmel would attach Disneyesque false colonnades, fake georgian windows with an over exaggerated dome all slathered in imitation plaster, painted to look like limestone :)
