Danica Patrick pushed the GoDaddy.com Web site to new heights during yesterday’s Indianapolis 500, according to officials
for the domain name registry.
Web traffic spiked 163 percent during Sunday’s broadcast, as compared to last year’s, according to GoDaddy officials. Even more people logged on to GoDaddy.com immediately after the race this year, with a 570 percent lift in Web site visits.
“First and foremost, congratulations to Danica on her historic performance,” said Go Daddy CEO and founder Bob Parsons. “She made us all proud today on and off the track. It was amazing to watch the response to our new commercial ... visitors jumping online so quickly to see our Internet-only version.”
In her new cliffhanger commercial specially created for the GoDaddy.com sponsored broadcast, Danica told viewers to, “See what happens next at GoDaddy.com” and viewers responded almost as fast as an open-wheeled race car crossing the finish line, Parsons said.
Overall, 92 percent of all those surveyed said they thought the Internet-only version was “hilarious, funny, clever,” according to GoDaddy officials.

Anyway, its good to see Danicle's careeer taking off as her racing career never seemed to.
The IRL: more than just racing. kind of.
young career? lmfao
please list all of the things Danicle has won. show your work.
Any others?
The IRL: 1 race win makes you a star.
Danica has been in the series for 5 years, not 8. In a post several months ago, I cited several, former IndyCar drivers that drove for a number of years before getting a win and went on to be legends. Do I have to look it up for you again?
She ain't done yet.
I for one was pleased to see her conducting an interview - instead of being spread eagle on a beach or grabbing her ankles. Hold strong DaHooey I have your back - Danicle is anything but a young racing talent and the numbers back it up.
In a league that week in and week out fields maybe six cars that have a real shot at winning how has our flesh in the pan faired ?
Well 2005 her average finish - 12th and 2006 - 8th then 2007 8th and 2008 10th. Dont let actual stats stand in the way of your arguments - fans of the IRL ( Irrelevant Racing League )
Let Danicle endorse beer or car parts but dont encourage the continued misuse of a team that has a real shot of winning if a real driver was behind the wheel.
She finished 3rd without any on-track problems, running approximately the same lap times (118 - 119) as the winner and second place for approximately the last 15 laps. Pretty good day.
Again - bedies her win @ Japanica (when the real talent was at LB), when did she win in EITHER series....
Danicle: there becuase of her sassiness.
mebbee.
All of these drivers have had either 1, 2, or 3 victories in their driving career:
Peter Revson
Swede Savage
John Andretti
Bobby Marshman
George Snider
Robby Gordon
Art Pollard
Roberto Guerrero
Scott Pruett
Christian Fittipaldi
Paul Russo
Are they all talentless as you say Danica is?
If Danicle sells tickets to the place fans and old horndogs, that is fine. but unlike other series, Tony's League needs all the help it can get. Frnakly, the spec racing sucks, and there's alot of talent out there that knows what a POS those cars are. Get the manufacturers back in it, dump that chassis (these cars don't fly) and open up the competition. Oh, and dump Tony while you are at it.
THEN you might have a chance to get OW back on track...
And as the cars being POS, sure the Lolas and Reynards of '95 were superior technically. They can go 250. Do you not agree that 250 is too fast?
I guess I just don't remember the racing in the past being so great. The only CART era 500 I remember with multiple cars on the lead lap was '92 with all the yellows. The rest were blow-outs.
You can go to IndyCar.com and see listed just how much Patrick has wonned. It's not hard, try it.
On a side note, just saw the Vs. special on Mears, Foyt and Unser. Very cool, very well done.
talking about won, as in trophies. a good driver wins races, gets trophies, etc.
not talking about money. a good whore can make alot of money, and doesn;t have to actually win anything. not saying danicle's a whore by any means. i am SURE she is a good christian girl.
look it up, as you say.
The IRL: winning money counts .
The IRL: the WRONG spec.
Really, every car sucks? Why, because they hit over 200 on every oval, something no other race series can do? Because they bring about the closest racing around? I have never seen a group of people who hate cars so much. Crapwagons? Really. wow, amazing stuff.
So you do say spec racing can be good. That is a change for you. So which spec racing is ok, and what makes a spec race bad?
