Apparently Darden Restaurants is no longer keen on the Hoosier dining scene. The Orlando, Fla.-based company announced this weekend it's closing seven restaurants in Indiana, including Smokey Bones Barbeque and Grill locations in downtown Indianapolis and Avon, and the just-opened Rocky River Grillhouse in Castleton. The company closed 56 restaurants nationwide, and more of them were in Indiana than any other state. Read the IBJ story here.
  • The Smokey Bones downtown will not be missed and I'm sure another tenant will step
right in. As far as restaurants closing/opening in castleton.. big deal, I'm sure
they will be replaced by another applebees/chilis/TGIF.
