Indianapolis Black Alumni Council hosting college fair

The Indianapolis Black Alumni Council will host its 31st annual Historically Black College and University College Fair 6-9 p.m. Sept. 30, at Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School.

Representatives from about 60 HBCU-member colleges and universities will attend to provide information to high school students.

The honorary chairman of the event is Indianapolis Colts defensive back Antoine Bethea, who graduated from HBCU school Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Lockheed Martin will present three scholarships to high school seniors during the event.

HBCUs are institutions of higher education in the United States that were established before 1964, with the mission of serving the black community.•
