  1. So now Chief is saying the history of Indy does not matter? Traditions are nothing? Chief, you are all over the place.

One of my new favorite traditions? Kissing of the bricks. Started by NASCAR, but carried on by all winners, nothing shows the love and respect for the speedway that drivers, crew members and team owners have. What other track has world famous drivers putting their lips on a yard of bricks that has 500 or 400 miles of dirt, grime and rubber on it?

Honorable mention? Climbing the fence. Started by Helio and carried on by drivers from NASCAR and Moto GP. Pretty cool. Both traditions are images that are easily recognized around the world.

  2. @ 2 hours and 4 minutes left, there's 82 single tickets available @ $50 each, plus 9 tables of 10 seats @ $450 each.
    The premium tables sold out.

How does that compare with previous years?

  3. So Chief are you now giving Indycar grief because they are working the bugs out of the car? Are you trying to say racing was not dangerous until Indycar came along?

Again, all Chief and the cart apologists care about is trying to destroy the series that they feel destroyed their favorite and seems like only series they knew.

Considering IMS, IRL and TG pioneered SAFER Barriers including giving up royalty rights so small tracks could afford it and was the first series to have a full time traveling safety team, knocking its safety record is not the smartest move.

  4. graham. they are even better w/ roasted marshmallows and melted chocolate

  5. Apparently ticket sales are slow too...mas emails have been sent by the speedway in a last ditch attempt to get place fans to come.
