    My dumbest purchase is the $50 I spend on a yearly basis to enter a fantasy football league with a group of men that know WAY more about football than I do. I think what is more perplexing is that I continue to participate year after year....

    The "pineapple train" on the island of Maui that went around pineapple plants (and other Hawaiian flora) that were planted in the "infield" of an oval track that the train went on. Lots of ukelele music and silly Hawaiian "lore", for about $30 each person.

    There was this bowl I saw one night on qvc (couldnt sleep). It's a big plastic bowl with hollowed sections between the inner and outer surfaces. You are supposed to put stuff in the sections like green m&ms for St. Patricks party or black and orange for Halloween party

    I too was vulnerable and bought one of those hand lotion kits and sadly more from the kiosk zombies at the mall. But, my most expensive and idiotic purchases would have to be for Groupons. I bought too much all at once and never had the time to use them.

    Many years ago I took out a small loan on my life insurance policy. Dumb me didn't pay attention to it and interest has increased the loan 8-fold. If I don't want the amount deducted from the proceeds, I got to pay it off now. Dumb me.
