For me, the weekend meant crashing part of the conference of fringe festivals, a gathering of fest organizers from around the country. Interesting to see how other cities handle what Indy does so well.

I also did my final round (well maybe I'll slip in another tonight) of screenings of Heartland Film Festival films in preperation for this week's column.

What about you?

Did you make it to the Circle City Classic parade? Go gallery hopping for First Friday? Check out a "Going Solo" play at the IRT?

What did you hear, see or do this weekend?

The compelling, incredibly rare opportunity to see Molly Lewis perform live along with The Doubleclicks, was the only thing keeping me from Going, Going, Gone. They were fantastic. Beautiful, often hilarious nerd music. http://www.ladiesofragnarok.com/

Attended the 18th annual Indiana Derby at Hoosier Park. This event gets bigger and better every year - a truly terrific and very fun time!
