For me, the weekend included the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra's "Yuletide Celebration," the Indiana Repertory Theatre's "A Christmas Carol," and the Phoenix Theatre's "A Very Phoenix Xmas 7." Look for more about those soon.

I also caught up on some recent movies ("Chronicle," "Rise of the Guardians," and "Safety Not Guaranteed").

What about you? What did you see, hear or otherwise experience this weekend?

  • Kevin Pollak
Saw Kevin Pollak at the Crackers in Broad Ripple. Setting aside the herded-cattle motif of such places, Pollak and even the lead-up comedian were well worth the effort.
  • Tuba Christmas
This was my first time to attend Tuba Christmas (which has been an annual event for over 30 years - based on the announcements yesterday) at the Arts Garden. They had over 50 tubas and euphoniums playing traditional holiday classics. In addition, the audience was encouraged to sing along. It was quite fun. Saxy Santa and Jingle Bones are scheduled 12/15 & 16. Band Geeks seem to have fun!
