For me, the weekend was primarily spent attending Who's Yer Con, a free, volunteer-run gaming convention. There, I had the pleasure of hosting an epic trivia contest with former "Jeopardy" champion (and WIBC reporter) Eric Berman. If you have an interest in such events, you don't have to wait until the epic GenCon in August. Between now and then, there's Indy PopCon at the Indiana Convention Center and InConjunction at the Indianapolis Marriott East (where I'll be toastmaster) and others. Fun all around.

I also finally made it to the Phoenix Theatre's "North of the Boulevard" (thoughts here) and had the pleasure of gathering with some local theater folks for a private reading of a play-in-progress by a visiting writer. And during downtime, I read the autobiography of filmmaker William Friedkin, best known for "The French Connection" and "The Exorcist" (although I confess I was just as interested in his time shooting the Sonny & Cher film "Good Times").

And you?

Did you get to see the Robert Indiana show at the IMA (thoughts here)? Go to Adult Swim at the Children's Museum? Spend "An Evening with Groucho" at the Palladium?

Share any thoughts on your own A&E weekend below.
