'Madea's Big Happy Family' canceled

In today's IBJ A&E e-blast, I included "Madea's Big Happy Family," the latest stage production from the seemingly tireless Tyler Perry.

Well I someone missed the fact that the tour was canceled about two weeks ago. Perhaps instead you should go see Liza ... oh, wait, that was canceled, too (but at least I knew that).

Please accept my apologies for the misinformation.

    Lou, I remember being blown away by the staging and choreography when the original production toured through Indy during the 1980s. Unfortunately Michael Bennett is no longer with us. Do you know what kind of buzz this version is getting?

    Sounds like it's a first-class production--and Indy's own Moya Angela is getting good buzz--but I'll reserve comment until I see it on Tuesday.)
    FYI: This is the same production that launched from the Apollo Theatre in NYC.
