This week, you can win a pair of tickets to hear Michael Pollan, bestselling author of “The Omnivore’s Dilemma," plus two VIP tickets to the pre-event reception.
The event, part of this year’s Spirit & Place Festival, will be held Nov. 12 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral (more info here).

    I've read all of Michael's books. He has been a great influence on my social conscience and my diet. I would love the opportunity to hear him speak.

    Would love to go to the luncheon --- watched Food, Inc. over a year ago which was drastically raised my awareness of the American food supply and specifically how our meat was sourced so poorly. Omnivoreâ??s Dilemma has also been influential to me in my food choices.

    I read "In Defense of Fodd" (on my honeymoon no less) after hearing an interview with Pollan on NPR. It would be nice if those in charge of our national food policy would take his suggestions to heart regarding food issues.

    I spent my summer vacation with my two daughters and Michael Pollan's book "The Omnivore's Dilemma". I feel it's so important for me to learn more about our food system and make better food choices for my young girls. They are the future and I want their future to be bright and healthy.

    Michael Pollan is my favorite Michael, as well. I have completely re-evaluated the way I look at food and eating thanks to him. Being concerned about the evironment for quite some time, I never realized how much of an impact my everyday eating habit was making on my own carbon footprint... not to mention my personal health! I've begun to pass Michael's wisdom on to my family, too, and my mom and I would love to see him speak!

    I love the actress Michael Learned. I have always thought that a woman named Michael is special and, in this case, quite talented. I also adhere to many of Michael Pollan's food rules and this one in particular: break the rules, sometimes.

    I was inspired by Omnivore's Dilemma. My good friend in Iowa raises free-range hogs for Nieman Ranch. He has been talking this 'food language' for years. I would love to hear Michael speak. thank you
