The weekend A&E activity for me was limited to checking out the new "National Geographic Treasures of the Earth" permanent exhibition at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis (more on that in the June 20 IBJ) and watching the Tony Awards on Sunday evening.

In between, I was en route to Los Angeles. More on the whats and whys of that trip later.

For now, kindly fill me in on what you saw and did this weekend. Did you see "Avenue Q" at the Phoenix? (My review can be found at Visit the new Civil War-era area at Conner Prairie? See a concert on the Lawn at White River State Park?

Fill us in.

Your thoughts?

  • Busy weekend
Polka Boy concert at Cool Creek Park in Westfield was great--how have I missed these events for 17 years?!? Beautiful day at the Harrison Center for the Arts Saturday (puts Talbot St to shame). Also, about 10 minutes into "Super 8," I whispered to my husband, "I LOVE this movie." And I was right.
  • Busy Weekend!!
Went to the Strawberry Festival on Thursday (yummy), the Black Keys concert on Friday night (fantastic) and the Italian Festival on Saturday night (also yummy).
  • CW and the Working Class Trio
I got a glimpse of life over 50 and loved it. Sat at Mickey's Irish Pub in Carmel with a bunch of former soccer parents watching an energetic and talented quartet of former soccer parents play blues and rock covers while sipping a few cold ones. I heard the band practices at least once a week whether they need to or not.
