Trust me dude, They are Haughville thugs. I had dealings with these cats. Check MY FACTS! - http://www.kubepharm.com/indylandbank/IndyLandBank.html I bring up me being Black because these guys make ME look bad as a LONGTIME Indy Black Male resident. Being from the Fairgrounds/Northside many whites have stamped me the same (as a no good Black guy), so yes, I can call people out. I get SO tired of these guys getting the jobs when people like me can't even get the City government to fix my damn sidewalks or buy Land Bank property. So, yeah, I'm pissed! I've had to deal with the criminals who stole that land from my mother. They were over there yesterday! A bunch of jack-leg "cracked-out-Breaking-Bad-meth-head-workmen" have been parking in my Mother yard as they've spent the past TWO YEARS 'fixing-up' a house that is not stable and was to be demolished. They cut down some beautiful trees for no reason! So yeah, I can and WILL call these Haughville thugs out, I'm more than qualified to call their asses out. So I CAN and WILL call them out for who and what they are - Haughville THUGS. Check MY FACTS! - http://www.kubepharm.com/indylandbank/IndyLandBank.html If you are from Haughville, joi the clud. I've been paint with broad brushes (as a Nothside "Broham") my whole life. Do like I do, deal with it! Check MY FACTS! - http://www.kubepharm.com/indylandbank/IndyLandBank.html
Someone told me a few days ago that a Pizzology was opening here. Any truth there? It would be a great addition to downtown.
I like the "on-the-go" eatery ideal. Aren't there enough national "upscale" chains in that area? Why not add an iconic brand to that sign/location and bring in a 2-story McD's...something like they did in Chicago Downtown. Just a thought. Tons of business customers would frequent it on lunch breaks in that area I would think.
Craig, nice to encounter someone locally who recognizes and appreciates the 'Googie' style! And i think I used to work for you!
The sign atop the building is certainly iconic, but in no way can be described as 'elegant'. I see this as more of an on-the-go eatery than anything in the "elegant" category. Of course, the REAL value of the site is its long-term potential once the economy rebounds. perhaps something in the 6-8 story range, but probably nothing hi-rise.
