Marian College DormsMarian College is about to add its first new student housing in more than 40 years. Construction is set to begin this summer on a 78-rooms, 144-bed residence hall, designed by locally based CSO Architects Inc. The 114-acre campus just south of 38th Street and Cold Spring Road also is getting a new athletic facility, in part to host a new football team.
  • WOW! not too bad imo... would have liked to see progressive architecture from a university, but that is very very good nostalgiac architecture!
  • yep... it's a dorm all right. Plain brick box? check.
  • I've seen the rendering above full size, and it is a very beautiful building! Lots of detail and really nice limestone accents. It will really fit into campus well. And the columned porches provide very nice, shady areas for students, which overlook the surrounding meadows and volleyball court. It is also very smart that Marian isn't putting up some trendy, flavor-of-the-month modern mistake, which would have been way out of place in this historical campus. Nice job, Marian!
  • Its better than a white siding dorm structure.
It follows the architecture of the area.
Hopefully they use good materials so it doesent look fake.
