On The Beat Industry News In Brief

Scott Davison, chief financial officer of OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc., has been promoted to executive vice president.

Davison, 47, has been CFO of the Indianapolis-based life and health insurance holding company since 2004. But with the company recently doubling in size, CEO Dayton Molendorp wanted another executive to guide the company’s further growth.

“In order to maintain our momentum and continue serving our customers, we want to leverage Scott’s talent and proven leadership across a broader scope of responsibilities,” Molendorp said in a statement. He added that a search for a new CFO would begin immediately.

IBJ named Davison its 2008 CFO of the Year for private companies with revenue of $250 million or more. In 2009, OneAmerica had revenue of $1.2 billion and, in 2010, it was on pace to top $2.5 billion in revenue. The company has not yet released its year-end results.
