  • Compass roseDrake's, a restaurant and bar chain with locations in Kentucky and Tennessee, plans a location at Clearwater Crossing along 82nd Street, near Barnes & Noble. The casual concept, which features craft beer and menu offerings ranging from burgers to sushi, is part of a family of restaurants operated by Bluegrass Hospitality Group. The menu describes the restaurants as "part rec room, part roadside diner and all fun." Drake's is taking 6,000 square feet.
  • El Rodeo, the popular local Mexican chain with several locations, plans to open a new restaurant in Greenwood along Emerson Avenue just south of County Line Road. The 6,000-square-foot restaurant will be in the Walmart center at the intersection's southeast corner.
  • Another Broken Egg, a breakfast and lunch chain based in Mandeville, La., plans to open its first Indiana restaurant at 9435 N. Meridian St. in the former home of La Margarita. The franchisee, which also operates local Ruth's Chris Steak House locations, also is looking for a location downtown. Full story.
  • Granite City Food & Brewery expects to open its new downtown location at Circle Centre mall in June 2013, the chain's development director says. The restaurant is taking 10,000 square feet including the former home of Bella Vita and will also have frontage along Illinois Street between Ruth's Chris and P.F. Chang's. The new location, reported here first in July, will be the chain's third in the area, joining restaurants at Meridian and 96th streets and at the Indianapolis International Airport.
  • Dunkin Donuts is planning a new location at the northwest corner of State Road 267 and Stafford Road in Plainfield. The restaurant is taking over a 3,000-square-foot building in front of Marsh that previously was home to a restaurant and offices.
  • SR135 Projects
In Center Grove Heartland Community Bank is constructing a new branch on SR135 in front of Meijer. Just up the road on the corner of 135 and Fairview a vacant bank is now destroyed but nothing has been confirmed of what is taking it's place. More construction on 135 north of Olive Branch, rumors are a nursing home is being built. Even further south on 135 and Stones Crossing a multi-story office building is taking shape South of Marsh. And finally, a Noble Roman's has opened on 135 just north of Smith Valley in a strip mall.
    • Another Broken Egg
We always eat at Another Broken Egg when in the Florida panhandle. Love this restaurant and looking forward to having one here in Indy!
    • Dunkin Donuts
I think you might mean SR 267? Not SR 67...? Dunkin Donuts is planning a new location at the northwest corner of State Road 67 and Stafford Road in Plainfield. The restaurant is taking over a 3,000-square-foot building in front of Marsh that previously was home to a restaurant and offices.

Good catch. Fixed the post. Thanks!
      • Granite City
I think a frontage along Illinois Street is what is needed in this location where Granite City is going in. The lack of visiblity hurts the traffic flow. I wish them the best of luck in that spot.
      • SR 135 Construction
The multi-level office building is a medical center, joint venture of Community Hospital and Johnson Memorial. The former bank was removed to make room for a Kroger gas station at Fairview and SR 135.
      • No, it's SR 267
No, it's SR 267 just as its written.

      1. I keep wondering why I keep hearing about this problem of corporations leaving America, and I never hear a reasonable proposal to lower corporate tax rates and raise personal rates on income from capital gains and dividends, especially for high earners. It is just too simple of a solution for Congress to embrace?

      3. is a disaster. SR37 already needs to be built to interstate standards between 465 and SR144. Southport Road is a mess each morning and evening.

      4. Bass Pro Shops would be good for the mall as well as a Giant Eagle Market District or a Jungle Jim's International Market Place grocery store like the one near Cincinnati Ohio.A Disney quest indoor theme park would be good.An Academy outdoor store would be good too.Indoor Circus shows and magic shows would be good as well. A casino with sports bar would be good.A Disney theater inside that shows movies and Broadway shows would work.Nashville Tennessee concert shops with indoor neon lights would be good. How about a theater that shows travel shows and theme parks. A train store would be good. How about a giant toy store with high tech video games.

      5. This development is in addition to Allpoints Midwest 5, Aitrtek, a recent FedEx and more in Plainfield. Greenwood and Brownsburg also have similar projects.
