Jason's Deli scouting sites for Indianapolis expansion

Jasons DeliJason's Deli, a Houston-based chain with more than 200 locations in 25 states, is planning to open four restaurants in the Indianapolis area. The first location is planned for a Kite-owned strip center along 82nd Street at Dean Road, and a second is in the works for Carmel, said Nick Wright, the chain's local real estate broker and a principal in Newbridge Commercial Real Estate. The chain also is considering sites in Greenwood and downtown. The restaurants are about 4,500 square feet and feature an organic salad bar, sandwiches and soups. The chain, founded in 1976, has eliminated high fructose corn syrup, trans fat, MSG, and all artificial colors and flavors from its food.

    How "near Dean Road" will Jason's be located? Dean Road stops at 82nd Street, which is named 82nd only from the White River eastward. Regardless, looking forward to the famous Jason's ice cream sundae bar when it opens! And as parent of a pre-schooler, I appreciate Jason's eliminating food coloring wich has been linked to children's hyperactivity (http://preview.tinyurl.com/2armmg5)
    from their ingredients.

      Cooper's Dad: I think that they mean 82nd and Dean. Some call it 86th, in that area.

      I love Jason's Deli! I lived in Ft Myers, FL for a year and absolutely loved their variety of foods. I was sad when I moved back to Indianapolis that I wouldn't have Jason's for lunch anymore...I was so excited to see the "coming soon" banner on 82nd Street!

      I used to live in Texas, and this is my kid's favorite place. I've seen the sign "coming soon" on 82nd for months. When are they going to open?

        I work up in Castleton and have been eagerly awaiting their opening. Looks like work had stopped for a bit, but appears to be back on. A rumor stated they were looking to capture more unoccupied space at this location, but had to jump through some hoops to get the right paperwork. Fingers crossed!

          Jason's Deli will be open on the 15th (Monday), despite the construction/redevelopment of the shopping center.

          Jason's Deli is soooo freakin good! I went to school in Mississippi where they had a Jason's Deli, but I live in Indianapolis so I'm very excited for the new opening!

          Had lunch at the 82nd st location, today. I had beef stew with corn bread. Going East it is the second left then on the right corner. Cannot miss it.
