To keep this post topical, I'll start with a link to this week's Real Estate Weekly. The news has been slow lately, but my colleague Chip Cutter still managed to dig up
some good nuggets. The real news today, of course, is the election. So let's see who Property Lines readers support and test
out a few polls. (Updates: You have to vote to see the results since the "show results" button isn't working.)

First time I've not voted straight ticket, it was this governor's race. Did a pointless write-in instead.
Obama/Biden for REAL change :-)
I just hope that who ever gets ellected, He/She/They realize that partisian Politics will never work (even if their whole party gets enough to have “run away politicsâ€). A divided Nation can not stand on its own. We all must come together and realize that we are not different from one-another. We all want the same thing, the difference is on HOW are we going to go about doing things. Lets give and take a little here and share ideas and keep an open mind.
BO wins Marion County HUGE. I'm guessing 35k to 40k votes easy.
I can also guarantee you that the Rs are causing huge problems with Challenges on early/absentee ballots. You will be up late to get full results.
Ill tell you folks something about this governor's race. From the D/T and NSide view, Mitch is walking away with this election, but you step outside his safety zone, and there is alot of hostility @ Mitch. What I predict to be the surprise of the night is JLT with 5 points easy of Mitch, and quite possibly upsetting him.
The other 2 races to watch are Mary Ann Sullivan/Elroy Elrod and John Barnes vs. What's his name. Both parties put alot of money into both of those races.
And what is probably going to be THE closest race will be Zoeller vs. linda Pence. Little knbow fact is that Linda got nearly 400k from the Natl Assn of Demo AGs in the last 5 weeks. I predict she wins.
The Dems win big in Marion county, Campo is embarrassed beyond the pale, and Joven goes back to whever he came from.
I'll check in in the morning to see how close i came, but I'll be with the winners tonight @ The Marriot.
overall, it is fantastic to see so many so passionate about this year's election. I've been to over 100 precincts today, and it was beautiful. :D
Money wouldn't matter: JLT loses. Mitch's safety zone is way bigger than DT and NSide. Reagan Democrats vote for Mitch. BO ticket splitters vote for Mitch. Jill's appeal doesn't get much beyond Ft. Wayne.
Money wouldn't matter, part deux: Carson wins. No matter what. Forever. R's have conceded this seat since Jacobs retired and Julia won the first time.
Change is good...first time in 32 years we don't have to look at Bush or Clinton on a ballot. About time. If we're lucky, we'll never see either name again except in the photo captions from overseas funerals for former presidents of Brzrkistan and Slobovia.
And I'll take Pence even steven.
Now that we've gotten rid of the township assessors, it's time to get rid of the township trustees and the boards.
While we're at it, we need to replace the county commissioners and the lesser county row offices with a single elected county executive, with a clerk and an auditor for checks and balances. No more elected sheriffs, treasurers, coroners, surveyors; all those positions need trained professionals and not elected hacks. We don't elect fire chiefs or sewer-plant managers...
However, I have no doubt Speaker Bauer is already limbering up for the necessary contortions.
We like Twnshp schools why not other offices located at the twnshp level?
I like knowing my local elected officials (except Mayor Dullard).
