  1. It is strange that Zaxby's wouldn't offer some kind of explanation of why they are marketing through IU and Purdue. The whole thing seems strange. I have eaten there in Tennessee, and it's solid as fast food goes. I wish I knew there plans in Indiana. Hello, Zaxby's PR folks, come out of hiding.

  2. I LOVE the overall concept of this! Two things I dislike: 1) the name 2) apartments. I can get over the name, but struggle with the apartments. Owner-occupied housing will withstand the test of time.

  3. ... lol. Did I suggest at some point that I didn't understand who's decision it was to locate where? Of course developers don't tell companies where they must locate (well, this is MOSTLY true... but not always). And the fact that there is not a McDonalds currently in the core of the city does NOT mean that McDonalds doesn't want it. 80% of McDonalds stores around the world are franchised locations, NOT corporate owned. I'm pretty certain the departure of McDonalds from the Hyatt was more a decision of the buildings owner than that of the restaurant. Even as hidden as it was, it did a pretty good business. I'm sure that presented with the ideal location, a McDonalds in the downtown core would be very successful. Since it was not my intention to hijack this thread with talk of McDonalds (I had to read back to even see how it came up in the first place), there will be no further comments of this nature on my part! ;-)

  4. I absolutely HATE HATE HATE people that complain about parking in downtown and Broad Ripple. I have never once had trouble finding parking in either location. Even during the Super Bowl, I was able to find parking. Granted, I had to walk a little bit more, but walking would help one of the fattest and unhealthiest metros in the country.

  5. Zaxby's is also big in NASCAR and was in the now defunct ASA. They are trying to push into more areas. Why not?
