Michigan-based Kellogg Co. has acquired IndyBake Products LLC, a cracker and cookie bakery headquartered in the western Indiana town of Seelyville, and plans to add 300 full-time and contract jobs over several years to the 80 existing positions. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Most existing IndyBake employees will be hired by Kellogg, the Indiana Economic Development Corp. said yesterday.

The state offered $1.4 million in incentives, and Vigo County, where Terre Haute is the county seat, offered $100,000 in infrastructure improvements.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. would not disclose the average wage of the new hires, saying the information was being kept confidential because public disclosure might hurt Kellogg’s business.

Kellogg also acquired Brownie Products Co., a Gardner, Ill., bakery that also is involved in the Seelyville site.

Combined revenue of IndyBake and Brownie was about $50 million last year.
