Indiana University’s trustees have approved a contract extension for school president Michael McRobbie.

The
trustees voted unanimously during a meeting Friday at IUPUI to extend McRobbie’s contract by five years through June 2017.
Trustee Stephen Ferguson commended McRobbie’s leadership and said the university should do all it can to keep him as president.

McRobbie has been a top IU administrator since 1997, becoming president in July 2007 after Adam Herbert stepped down.
