A new report ranks Indiana 48th in the nation in the amount of federal dollars the state spends per person on public health.
The study released this week by the Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation also found that
Indiana spent less per person on public health services than most other Midwestern states in fiscal 2009. Ohio ranked 49th,
spending $13.52 per person, while Virginia spent the least on its residents, at $13.33 a person.
