The superintendent of Martinsville Schools is expected to make a statement Monday after being arrested this weekend on charges
of driving under the influence. Ron Furniss was arrested on Blue Bluff Road in Martinsville Saturday night after being clocked
at 61 mph in a 35-mph zone. He was taken to the Morgan County jail, according to police, but has been released on bond. Police
say Furniss had a blood-alcohol content of 0.16, twice the legal limit at the time of his arrest.
