A pedestrian who was struck while crossing Broad Ripple Avenue around 3 a.m. Thursday is a former cast member of the popular
Smiley Morning Show on WZPL-FM 99.5. Chris Van Sickle, known on-air as "Weed Man," is expected to be OK. Police
said Van Sickle was crossing Broad Ripple Avenue when a car hit him. He was taken to a hospital with head injuries. The Toyota
Camry was driven by Jalonda Reynolds, who police said left the scene and crashed the vehicle at East 71st Street and College
Avenue. She told investigators that she didn't see the pedestrian and panicked when she hit him. Reynolds was arrested
for driving with a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident. Police said she was not intoxicated. Fox59 will
have more at 4 p.m.
