The 17-year-old suspected of shooting nine people in downtown Indianapolis during Indiana Black Expo’s Summer Celebration
July 17 will face charges in adult court. The suspect, Shamus Patton, appeared in court Monday morning. He has been charged
with 12 felonies and two misdemeanors. None of the victims had life-threatening injuries, but city leaders say the shooting
damaged Indianapolis’ reputation.
