labs and a lounge for its growing student population.
The design, fashion and culinary school opened in 2006 with 64 students and 25 employees, and occupied 28,500 square feet.
The school now boasts 900 students, and 150 staff and faculty members.
The school occupies 48,000 square feet on the first and second floors of the building known as Pyramid One, and the first
floor of Pyramid Two. The 6,900-square-foot addition will be on the second floor
of Pyramid Two. Witwer Construction of Fort Wayne is leading construction. Architecture is by Mark Pavoni of HFS Architects
in Salt Lake City. The Indianapolis school is one of 40 Art Institutes in North America. Schools that offer training for adults
often flourish during economic downturns.
