Horse investment not ‘shameful’

Thank you very much for your accurate [Feb. 28 editorial] on the Indiana horse industry. The funds allocated to the horse industry will do much more for Indiana in economic impact than anything the General Assembly might do with the money.

This is not a subsidy, shameful or otherwise. It is a well-thought-out investment in Indiana’s future, providing jobs and investments in every county in the state. The return on this investment ($700 million for $60 million) is huge and growing.
