Announcements
United Way of Central Indiana added its name to the list of those supporting the Indiana Compact, a statement of principles for immigration policy reform. The Indiana Compact advocates five principles should guide policy solutions around immigration reform:

federal solutions – urge Indiana’s Congressional delegation to address this federal policy issue.

law enforcement – respect the rule of law and support law enforcement’s professional discretion as they focus on criminal activities, not civil violations of federal code.

family integrity – oppose policies that unnecessarily separate families, as strong families are the foundation of successful communities.

economy - ensure that Indiana’s immigration policies reaffirm our global reputation for being a welcoming and business-friendly state.

free society – adopt a humane approach to integrating immigrants into our communities.
