The Stutz Artists Association has landed a three-year title sponsorship for its annual open house from Raymond James.

The two-day event, scheduled for April 27 and 28, attracts 5,000 visitors, who spend more than $250,000 on art made in the studios of the Stutz building, a historic car factory downtown.

Ticket sales to the open house support the Stutz residency program, which provides free studio space for emerging artists.

Terms of the deal with Raymond James were not disclosed. The financial advising firm sponsored the event last year and found it a good match for clients’ interest, said Carol L. Myers, president of the artists association.

This year, Raymond James will host a private party during the open house, as well as receptions in advisers’ offices.

“The artists are delighted with the opportunity to showcase our work to more audiences,” Myers said.

The Stutz Artists Association says it’s the largest association of working artists in Indiana.
