Exploding diesel fuel from a semi-trailer truck that crashed Thursday afternoon on Interstate 74 in Shelby County was so powerful that it rattled dishes in the home of Lora Anderson, a nearby resident who called 911. A witness said the truck drifted from the right lane to the left and nudged a car before the truck driver overcorrected, causing the tanker to flip. The road was burned so badly that highway crews were called in to make repairs. An autopsy is set for Friday to try to determine the identity of the driver.
