Allison Transmission Holdings Inc., 4700 W. 10th St., Indianapolis 46222 (www.allisontransmission.com), designs and manufactures commercial and military fully automatic transmissions and hybrid-propulsion systems for transit buses. The company also sells replacement parts, support equipment and other service products. For the second quarter of 2013, Allison earned $50.5 million, or 26 cents per share, on revenue of $512.1 million. In the same period a year earlier, Allison earned $412.8 million, or $2.21 per share, on revenue of $559.4 million. Allison shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker ALSN.
