Fundraising Results
United Way of Central Indiana received $127,427 raised by employees of KAR Auction Services during a two-week fundraising drive.

Indiana AIDS Fund raised a total of $268,982 at its 2013 Indiana AIDS Walk, $71,093 of which was donated by the M.A.C. AIDS Fund.

St. Mary’s Child Center raised a record $200,000 at its Night of Miracles event in November.

Grants
Humane Society of Indianapolis was awarded a grant of $5,000 by the Bissell Pet Foundation to support its foster care program.

Hendricks Regional Health received a grant of $8,100 from the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust.

Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership received a $6.3 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to support the organization’s mission and fund its programs.

Wheeler Mission was given $1.5 million by Lilly Endowment Inc. to be used toward construction of a new facility to provide expanded services to homeless men.

In Recognition
Linda Wilgus, Northwest Radiology Network, has been chosen to participate in the 2013-14 Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Program.

MDwise was selected as a leader in health care resources in the website category by the Web Health Awards.

Gov. Mike Pence was awarded the 2013 Outstanding Achievement in State Tax Reform award by the Tax Foundation.

James F. Bohrer, Clendening Johnson & Bohrer PC, has been named Associate of the Month for January by the Monroe County Building Association.

Jim Litten, president of F.C. Tucker Co., was named to the Swanepoel Power 200 list of the most powerful people in residential real estate in 2013.

Franciscan St. Francis Health hospitals in Indianapolis and Mooresville were recognized by Healthgrades for clinical excellence, ranking in the top 5 percent in the nation for patient safety.•
