I would like to know why the Indianapolis airport is just now getting around to pushing for a direct London flight [Indianapolis airport tries ‘long-term strategy’ to land nonstop London flights, IBJ.com, Nov. 18].
They seem to be moving at a snail’s pace while places like Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham and New Orleans are moving right along and are getting or have already gotten their second European flights.
Until recently New Orleans had none. They have added a Frankfurt, Germany, and London flight. Pittsburgh just landed their second European flight and Raleigh-Durham has London and Paris. Getting beat twice by the likes of New Orleans is pretty sad. What about Pittsburgh? That is an overall stagnant market and they’ve had a flight for a while now.
