As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowSports and entertainment complex Topgolf said Monday that it plans to hire 500 people to staff its new Fishers location.
The three-story, 65,000-square-foot attraction at the corner of 116th Street and Interstate 69 is slated to open this fall.
The company said “auditions” for the jobs—which include servers, bartenders, kitchen, maintenance, and guest services staff—start Aug. 21.
“We couldn’t be more excited to create 500 jobs in Indiana,” said Topgolf Fishers Director of Operations David Lingafelter in a written statement. “Fishers is a vibrant community that is frequently recognized as a top place to live and work, and we hope to prove we will be a top workplace within the state.”
The Fishers location is the 34th for Topgolf, which offers golf games, food, alcohol and other entertainment. The facility is slated to have 120 climate-controlled hittting bays.
IBJ previously reported the facility is expected to cost from $18 million to $25 million to develop.
There are three stories of hitting bays at the Fishers Topgolf facility, but the poles that hold up the netting to prevent golf balls from reaching Interstate 69 are drawing serious attention. The 170-foot-tall poles can be seen from miles away.
