The local Cushman & Wakefield office has a new leader.

Timothy Michel assumes the role of managing principal from Chris Yeakey, who had served in the position since November 2015, the real estate firm announced on Feb. 26.

“Tim boasts an impressive track record, is an exceptional professional and leader in our office, and is a real estate and Indianapolis market veteran,” said John O’Neill, the firm’s regional managing principal, in a prepared statement.

Michel, 55, joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1997. He most recently was executive managing director of the firm’s investor services business and, before that, senior managing director of asset services.

Yeakey left to “pursue new opportunities,” the firm said.

With 30 brokers, Cushman & Wakefield is the third-largest commercial real estate brokerage in the Indianapolis area, according to the most recent IBJ statistics.
